Important notes:The data used to produce this plot are provisional and have not been reviewed or edited. They may be subject to significant change. The black line is the measured value or the regression estimate of the concentration or load. Gaps in the black line occur when either data are not available or their values are outside of the range for the regression equation. The plus symbol (+) represents a laboratory-measured value for a water-quality sample collected at the indicated time. The gray area is the 90% prediction interval. The statistical (regression) analysis used to estimate these constituents concentrations are site specific and have limitations. These estimates can have large uncertainties. Some of the uncertainty is caused by measurement and laboratory analytical errors. Users are cautioned to consider these uncertainties when applying this information to specific issues.
Water-quality standards and criteria are displayed on the graph for the purposes of comparison so that the viewer can decide whether the current water quality is suitable for the intended use. For more information, check out the South Dakota Surface Water Quality regulations for stream criteria.
